6-Day Rwenzori Mountains Trek

Rwenzori Mountains National Park 6 days / 5 nights 1–8 people Pearl of Africa Tours

About This Tour

The Rwenzori Mountains straddle the Uganda-DRC border and are one of Africa's most dramatic mountain ranges. This 6-day trek follows the Central Circuit Trail through five distinct vegetation zones.

From tropical rainforest, ascend through bamboo zones, heather moorlands, and into the surreal Afro-alpine zone with giant groundsels and lobelias found nowhere else on earth. The summit push to Margherita Peak (5,109m) offers breathtaking views across equatorial Africa.

The Rwenzoris receive far fewer visitors than Kilimanjaro, offering a quieter, more authentic mountain experience supported by local Bakonzo guides and porters.
