Lake Mburo National Park is Uganda's closest park to Kampala, making it perfect for a quick safari without long drives. Unique in Uganda for its zebra and impala populations, the park's acacia woodland and lakeshore create a beautiful intimate setting.

Lake Mburo allows walking safaris without fences, offering an up-close, adrenaline-filled approach to zebras and impalas on foot. The lake boat cruise is one of the best in Uganda — hippos, Nile crocodiles, and superb birdlife including the rare Shoebill stork.

With over 350 species, this is also a serious birding destination.
