Pick-up from Entebbe or Kampala and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Equator line. Enjoy lunch en route and arrive at your lodge by late afternoon. Evening at leisure to enjoy the surroundings.
Early morning game drive through the Kasenyi plains β prime territory for lions, elephants, and Uganda kob. Return for lunch, then embark on a 2-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. Watch hippos, Nile crocodiles, and pelicans from close range.
Head to the Kyambura Gorge, an underground forest for chimpanzee tracking. Afternoon game drive in the southern Ishasha sector. Transfer to Ishasha for the night.
Morning game drive in the Ishasha sector searching for the famous tree-climbing lions resting in fig trees. Afternoon drive and bird watching along the river banks. Relaxing evening at camp.
After breakfast, begin the scenic return drive through the Rift Valley escarpment. Stop for lunch and souvenir shopping. Arrive in Entebbe by evening for your onward journey.
Traveling with kids can be stressful but the team made it seamless. The children loved the boat cruise and the guides were great with them.
The game drives were fantastic and we saw all of the Big Five. The lodge was comfortable. Only downside was a slight delay on the second day, but overall a wonderful experience.
