Witness one of nature's greatest spectacles on this 10-day journey through Tanzania and Kenya, following the Great Wildebeest Migration across the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem.

Begin in Arusha and work through wildlife-rich Lake Manyara, the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, and the vast Serengeti plains where over 1.5 million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move in an eternal cycle.

Cross into Kenya to explore the legendary Masai Mara, famous for dramatic river crossings. End at Amboseli with Kilimanjaro views as the backdrop to enormous elephant herds.

Day 1
Day 1 — Arrive in Arusha, Tanzania

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Trip briefing and welcome dinner.

Day 2 — Arusha to Lake Manyara

Drive to Lake Manyara NP for an afternoon game drive among tree-climbing lions, flamingo-lined shores, and large elephant herds.

Day 3 — Ngorongoro Crater

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater. Spot black rhino, lions, and flamingos. Picnic lunch on the crater floor. Afternoon ascent to the rim lodge.

Day 4 — Ngorongoro to Serengeti

Cross the Serengeti plains stopping at Olduvai Gorge. Afternoon game drive into the golden Serengeti grasslands.

Day 5 — Full Day Serengeti

Full day pursuing the migration herds. Lions stalking prey, cheetahs hunting, and hippos in the Grumeti River. Sundowner drinks in the bush.

Day 6 — Serengeti to Masai Mara, Kenya

Morning game drive in the northern Serengeti. Cross the Tanzania-Kenya border at Isebania. Continue to the Masai Mara.

Day 7 — Full Day Masai Mara

Full day game drives in the Mara. Look for the Big Five and dramatic Mara River crossings. Evening Maasai village visit.

Optional early morning hot air balloon safari (extra cost). Champagne breakfast. Afternoon game drive in the Mara North Conservancy.

Decent but could improve

The wildlife sightings were good, but communication before the trip could have been better. The vehicle was a bit old. Food was excellent though.
