Depart Entebbe/Kampala early morning for the scenic drive south-west to Bwindi (approx. 8–9 hrs by road, or optional domestic flight to Kihihi airstrip). Stop at the Equator crossing for photos and lunch en route. Arrive at your lodge near the park gate by evening for a briefing and dinner.
After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for the ranger briefing at 7:30 AM. You will be assigned a gorilla family and set off into the forest with your guide and armed rangers. The trek through dense vegetation can take 2–6 hours. Spend one unforgettable hour with the gorillas, observing their behaviours, taking photos, and absorbing the magic of the encounter. Return to the lodge for a celebratory lunch and an optional community walk in the afternoon.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, then begin the return journey to Entebbe (or take a domestic flight). Stop at scenic viewpoints along the way and visit a local craft market. Arrive in Entebbe by evening.
