About This Tour

Amboseli National Park offers one of the most photogenic safari settings in Africa — vast elephant herds moving across open marsh with the majestic silhouette of Mount Kilimanjaro rising behind them.

With over 1,600 elephants, Amboseli has one of the best-studied elephant populations in the world, and the bulls here are among the largest in Africa. Lions, cheetahs, hippos, and over 600 bird species complete a rich wildlife portfolio.

This 4-day itinerary combines morning and afternoon game drives with a Maasai cultural visit and guided swamp walks with specialist local guides.

Day 1 — Nairobi to Amboseli

Drive from Nairobi to Amboseli NP (approx. 4 hrs via Namanga). Arrive for lunch. Afternoon game drive with Kilimanjaro views. Sundowner on the plains.

Day 2 — Full Day Amboseli Game Drives

Morning and afternoon game drives through Amboseli's open plains and swamp areas. Observe large elephant family groups wading through the marshes with Kilimanjaro as backdrop. Big cat tracking.

Day 3 — Observation Hill & Maasai Village

Morning drive to Observation Hill for 360° panoramic park views. Afternoon visit to a traditional Maasai manyatta for beadwork, cultural exchange, and ceremonies.

Day 4 — Sunrise Photography Drive & Return

Sunrise game drive for golden-hour elephant and Kilimanjaro photography. After breakfast begin the drive back to Nairobi, arriving early afternoon.

Great safari, minor hiccups

The game drives were fantastic and we saw all of the Big Five. The lodge was comfortable. Only downside was a slight delay on the second day, but overall a wonderful experience.
